Chilly garlic pepper prawns

This great tasty dish will bring a smile to your lips on the instant you taste it. Easy-to make and yummy, its a dish you'll always make at home. The same dish can be varied with chicken, boneless fish or any meat of your choice.


INGREDIENTS:



  • Cleaned prawns - 5 pcs
  • Chilly flakes - 2 tablespoon
  • Schezwan sauce - 1.5 tablespoon
  • Soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 2 tablespoon
  • Vinegar - 2 teaspoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Minced, flattened ,finely chopped garlic - 2 tablespoons
  • Eggs - 1
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Ajinamoto - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
METHOD:
  • Wash the prawns properly and make sure that they are well cleaned.
  • Now marinate them in the chopped garlic, vinegar, soya sauce, schezwan sauce, ginger-garlic paste, chilli flakes, black pepper, ajinamoto and salt for 30 - 60 minutes.
  • Just before cooking the prawns, add the maida and beaten eggs to the marinated prawns. This will add the crispiness to the recipe.
  • Now, heat some refined oil in a non-stick pan for about 20 seconds or so.
  • Now, lay down the marinated prawns softly in the pan with a bit of the thick marinade to ensure that the prawns come out fluffy.
  •  Let them fry evenly on both sides for a minute each, since prawns do not take a long time to cook.
  • Be sure not to over-cook them.
  • Let them cook till crisp and  and a beautiful golden.
  • Serve with dips of your choice !

Chicken momo

Dumplings are a traditional classic of China. Made in steam baskets, they are now also known as momos or wontons. A very popular dish, it is just finger-licking good !


INGREDIENTS


STUFFING:

  • Minced chicken - 1 cup
  • Chopped onion - 1 cup
  • Chopped ginger -garlic -  2 tablespoon
  • Schezwan sauce / red chilli paste- 2 tablespoon
  • Soya sauce - 2 tablespoon
  • Chilli sauce - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Chilli flakes (optional) - 1 tablespoon
  • Ajinamoto - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
DOUGH:
  • Maida - 2.5 cups
  • Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
METHOD

  • Fry the chicken , ginger, garlic and onion in some oil , till the chicken gets cooked.
  • Now, add schezwan sauce/chilli paste , soya sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, ginger-garlic paste,chilli flakes, ajinamoto and salt to the fried mixture. The stuffing is now ready.
  • Mix the ingredients for the dough with warm water to a soft consistency.
  • Roll it out into 20, small, thin and flat circles.
  • Put a little bit of stuffing into each circle and bind them properly so that the ends are sealed, in any shape.
  • Steam the raw momos in a steamer for 10-12 minutes and serve with any dip/chutney/relish of your choice.
